Like the Green Belt Certification Test, Black Belt certification follows the DMAIC roadmap to gauge a Black Belt’s understanding of the key areas of Six Sigma methodology. There are 120 multiple-choice questions in more than 15 different focus areas to include more advanced Black Belt topics such as DOE, Capability Analysis, Lean, MSA and more. The Black Belt candidate is required to submit a completed project report along with a letter from their Champion (manager) showing business results as well as participate in a project phone review with an SBTI resource in order to obtain SBTI certification.
Candidates will be quizzed on:
- Their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of being a Black Belt
- Their ability to deliver results
- Their knowledge of the roadmaps and tools needed to perform at the Black Belt level
